Alternative Transport Week, which originated in Jersey in 2022, and which has been growing in momentum across the Channel Islands since then is going to be the biggest yet in 2025.
The Alternative Transport Week not for profit organisation in Jersey has now joined up with sustainable travel advocacy charity in Guernsey, The Better Journeys Project, and the week will now be renamed Better Journeys Week in both islands.
Once again 100's of organisations in Jersey and Guernsey will make more sustainable commitments in May.
The 2025 dates have been announced as 19th to 23rd of May 2025.
Once again, across the Channel Islands, businesses and schools will be challenged to try a number of initiatives to reduce the number of single occupancy vehicle journeys, replacing them with more active and more sustainable forms of transport.
These "Better Journeys", whether on foot, by bike, by bus or car share which will deliver benefits to health, mental well-being, the environment and also help people save money!
